Dickens' Bicentenary in Our Highschool

We have just celebrated our Semana Cultural, and among all the activities we have had, we have paid a tribute to Dickens. Some teachers and some of our 2º de Bachillerato students have worked hard on it, and this is the result.

But there are some other students in 4ºB and D who are still creating a wiki on this topic, when it is ready I will include a link to show you their work.

Saint Patrick's Day

 Celebrating Saint Patrick's Day

The 17th of March is a Public Holiday in Ireland. They celebrate the most  recognised  patron saint and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. We want to commemorate it too, so we  have created a wall mural. Our students have drawn some shamrocks and stuck them onto it. As shamrocks are green and we are very concerned about the environment, we have taken advantage of it and written "green" messages, such as "Don't litter the countryside!" "Dispose your batteries correctly" etc...but anyway we have included a lot of information about Saint Patrick as well.. International Womens Day

Tomorrow lots of women will celebrate the International Women's Day, unfortunately some others won't be able to do it. Let's hope things change for them.

Celebrating Saint Valentine's Day

Hearts with love messages!

My colleague A. had a fantastic idea some years ago, and from that time on, we keep on doing it.

To celebrate Saint Valentine's Day you have to draw ( you can use Paint's editor) a big heart and write a love poem or a quote inside. You can copy it or you can create your own one.

Decorate your hearts and we will stick them on to the English Corner Wall. Be creative and Happy Saint Valentine's!
